Simple Broiled Chicken
Here’s a really simple recipe for broiled chicken that takes only a few minutes to prep. You don’t need much to go with the chicken, just a few spices and olive oil. Pairs perfectly with brown rice.
Ingredients
2 lbs boneless, skinless natural chicken
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Chicken seasoning
Sea salt
Freshly ground pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 400F. Rub two pounds of natural chicken breast, skinless and boneless, with about two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil on both sides. Sprinkle with fine sea salt, freshly ground pepper and season with a chicken seasoning, again on both sides. We used McCormicks brand Grill Mates Montreal Chicken Seasoning but we’ve heard from one of our members that Flavor God spices is where it’s at!!
Place on top of a broiler pan and pop in the oven when ready. After about 20 minutes or so, remove from oven and flip the fillets over. Return to oven and for another 15-20 minutes or so. Oven times may vary so keep an eye on it to prevent burning. When you think it’s ready, remove from oven and then slice one of the fillets to ensure it’s been thoroughly cooked to your liking. Cooking time will also depend on the thickness of the chicken breasts.
